Can express the joy I am feeling right now. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted. Maybe in a few days I can write about today. (I took Anja to vote with me, and I hope she remembers this day) But tonight I am just plain tired out. Work was long. The election has been long and frankly I am exhausted. I hope that President Obama does make some changes to this country.
So after being delayed a week due to Tropical Storm Fay, Anja has finally started Kindergarten. She said "I am very excited, but a little nervous." I believe the nervous comment was all an act. Here are a few pics from this morning. A couple saying goodbye to g-ma, a few at school, and one were she is clearly sick of me taking pictures.
Is the name Anja and Jayden have decides to call their little club for two. Jayden has been in New York all summer and Anja has missed her terribly and the same goes for Jayden. I know that at one point Jayden's Nana asked about her friend Anja, and Jayden replied "please don't talk about her, because I miss her too much."
So today the girls got to spend most of the day playing as we had a "Florida snow day" meaning no school due to Tropical Storm Fay. The girls went a little bit overboard with some old makeup and Anja made a mask out of very dark purple and black eyeshadow. The mask around her eyes quickly moved to her whole face. She said she was pretending to be a ninja, but I think she may have seen to many previews for Tropic Thunder, and wanted to try black face.
So as I got them in the tub they came up with the name "Princess Ninja Sisters" and started doing ninja poses, so enjoy.......
So as some of you know we are right in the path of Tropical Storm Fay and I thought I would film a bit of the storm and see how it progresses. Here is a video from 2:30 today.
Really sorry it has been so long since I have put up any pics, but I took 10 minutes out of my day to get a few up from Erin and Lia's visit. I have tons more and maybe one day I will post them. Now I just don't have the eye energy to work on a computer and then spend any rec. time on one at home.
I was much closer this time, and had Tom's camera. I had never used it before, so sorry about the zoom going in and out at the beginning. It was a great day for a liftoff and I hope to film the next one.
Hope all is well with everyone. I can't believe it has been over a month since I have put up any new pictures of Anja. I have a serious backlog of pics that I need to edit and put in some sort of order. I also have many thoughts and stories that I need to knockout of my brain...but I my eyes are ALWAYS tired, or I have things to do , or I am in prison.... The only reason this post is going up is a bad case of insomnia and the fact that Anja has had a fun weekend after being sick during the week. First, we babysat the sweetest one-year old. Her name is Julia and she is the daughter of my friends Carrie and Mike, whom I work with. Anja was a great helper and as a reward she got to swim in their pool. Julia has the cutest cheeks I have ever seen and huge brown eyes that followed Anja everywhere. We also went to the circus today which turned out to be the lamest 55 min of my life. I don't think there were more then 12 performers, there were no animals, and it was in a GYM! Anja had no idea. She is going to crap when she gets to go to a real 3 ring circus. I think the highlight for her was the cotton candy which she ate in record time. They should have made her a circus act! Anyways here is a video of Julia sitting on my lap while I was laying in the hammock. Her grandmother had just gotten there to take over. She attempts to sound like the dog towards the end of the video. Then there are a few pics of Anja eating cotton candy and the butterfly that she had painted on her face. Enjoy!
Here are some pics of going to school in the morning on the bike and some of Anja's classroom. As you can tell form the glazed look in her eyes, she is still not used to getting up early.
