I waited to post this until Kelli and Belinda were done with the book. I tore right into like I have in all the books. How can you not? They are so easy to read, even if you have only one good eye! I am, however paying for it today. I guess I have just always been able to read so fast, and I still can, but it is hard to slow that down. I should have read it over a couple of days, but I just could not put it down. Bloody EYES. If only Harry hadn't buried Mad Eye Moody's I could have used it.
I loved the book. I cried like a baby in many parts, but I was happy with the ending. Today I am honestly sad that it is all over. I can't believe there won't be more.
On Friday, grandma starting reading the first book. She said, "I guess I should see what all the fuss is a bout." So she started the first book at age age 88, and Anja at 4. I was a little surprised that Anja listened so well to book without pictures. Later, I took Anja to the Barnes & Nobel with Belinda and Tom at around 10. There was at least a 1000 people there. The store had all kinds of stuff going on such as: trivia, a potions demonstration, costume contest, and a countdown. I think Anja would have gotten a prize if we had gotten there early enough to get a number. They still let her walk in the parade and stand in front of the judges, one of which was Dumbledore. They wanted to know her number to later give her a prize, but she didn't have one. She didn't know the difference, and was just glad to be in the parade. I am glad we were there for the last release and I got a few good shots. A man dressed as Mad Eye Moody won the adult contest, the young Harry won the kids. They were father and son.
I hope everyone enjoyed the book and these pictures.
